Participants will get an opportunity to be the main feature on the site for 1 week giving everyone a chance to impress and succeed.

The whole idea behind this web site is to develop a portal for the youth on the corner to create and publish their own media and method of expressing themselves, not based on any judgemental standards but through a process of natural creativity. This becomes an outlet for those who captured by the idea of self, understanding that to value oneself is not about selfishness but in deed about sharing and civic obligation as we attempt to straddle this thing called life!! The lab will help youth to develop their creative potentials in story telling, music/video production, photography, product design, creative writing and many more. The mongrelStreet website will give them that platform from which they can shout it.

iStreet News

We will seek to encourage youth on the corners to submit articles to the project every article/news item used we will pay the person submitting the item US$10. We will encourage positive actions that bring to the fore activities that youth are engaging in on the streets. Payment is an incentive to encourage greater participation. We aim to deliver a series of youth development and journalism workshops for street youth.

Music Play List

We will upload music to our Internet radio station and ask listeners to vote for their favourite the play list is updated weekly to promote the top 10 songs we will also pay US$10 for every song we upload to the web station with authorised FOSS licences.
Advertising and Merchandising

We will promote and sell on behalf of our clients product that they have authorised us to sell via PayPal. We will also encourage them to set up their own promotional web site so they can also promote and sell their product. We will also use the medium to advertise for those who wishe to associate with us including corporate sponsors and partners
